It is a Late Start “A” Day

 

Ghoul-o-grams:  Ghoul-o-grams are on sale at lunch all this week at the clock tower. Buy them for your friends for 50 cents each - a personal message from you and a Halloween lollipop will be delivered during 6th period on Halloween.  Ghoul-o-grams:  they're spooktacular!

 

PE Make Up Days:  Make up days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Meet on the track at 2:30 dressed in your PE clothes on the track and be ready to go.

 

Mummy Wrap Contest:  Thursday is the mummy wrap contest at lunch.  Each third period class needs to have 4 people to participate - the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place classes get spirit points.   Please have the names of the students from your 3rd period class team to Mrs. Hackett by Wednesday.   We can't wait to see some boo-ti-ful mummies on Thursday!

 

Boys’ Basketball- Tryouts for boys’ basketball are Monday and Tuesday.

8th grade: 2:30-4

7th grade: 4-5:30

6th grade: 5:30-6:30

 

Girls’ Soccer- Tryouts for girls’ soccer are also on Monday and Tuesday.

6/7th grade: 3:00-5

8th grade: 3:30-4:30

 

The Halloween Dance is coming up on Friday- Permission slips and informational went home Friday. Tickets will be on sale all next week at the student store during lunch.  Remember you cannot buy a ticket without a signed permission slip and you cannot buy a ticket the night of the dance.


"Come one and all and hear the best singing in the county at this years "Sing for Your Life" fundraiser concert at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.  You'll get to hear our great choir  in addition to the choirs from Aptos, Monte Vista, Pacific Collegiate and St. Francis schools.  You'll also get to hear the Regional College Barbershop Champion quartet "First Strike".  You can buy tickets at the door but we'll raise more money if you buy them from us for $15.  See a choir student for more details or email slvmusicboosters@gmail.com.

 

SLV Girls Softball: Sign up for softball on Nov. 3rd at BCE, from 6-8pm, or at Ben Lomond Fire from 9-noon on Nov. 5th. Registration includes 2012 SLVGS sweatshirt. Pick up a flyer in the office.

 

College Night: Cabrillo is hosting a college and career night on Monday, Nov. 7th, from 6-8pm. Call 477-5650 for more information.

 

Ongoing, FREE, after-school art classes at SLV High School every Thursday-from 2:30 to 4:30.  Starting this week, Handbuilding with Clay, taught by Nora Sarkissian an Room E-3.  We will make coil-up pots, animals, figurative sculpture, and more.
